Nima Mistry

PROJECT COORDINATOR

Nima Mistry has an adventurous spirit. Inspired by her parents’ emigration to the United Kingdom at a young age, leaving all their family in India, she emigrated to New Zealand in 1996 for a challenge, a change, and a new adventure.

She grew up in the United Kingdom, surrounded by family, friends and community, and studied Biotechnology at De Montford University. After discovering a love for analytical instrumentation work in laboratories, the “Yorkshire lassie” headed down south. Way down south!

Based in Auckland for more than two decades, Nima worked in the pharmaceutical industry. In 2018, Wellington beckoned with time for a cool change. She worked first in the food industry, then as a project coordinator with a home renovation company. This is where she discovered a passion for the people involved in the projects.

Nima started at Envelope’s Wellington office in 2026, working as a project coordinator with the civil engineers and projects teams across Envelope.

She loves spending time in the kitchen, experimenting with different cuisines and fusion cooking. Nima cooks with her own homegrown vegetables and enjoys a glass of red wine and a cheeseboard when relaxing.

Wellington has a lot to offer for the outdoors-loving Nima – long walks around the hills, time in town, or rambling around arts and crafts markets in her time outside work. She loves her garden and is always on the lookout for orchids to add to her own collection which (as with many peoples’ collections, “somehow just happened”.

And when not taking local adventures, Nima dreams of fulfilling her two, polar opposite travel dreams. The first is to see giraffes in their natural habitat in Africa, the second is travelling to Antarctica, “for something completely different.” No doubt she will make it to both. Her adventurer’s heart will see to that.
